A planning applications panel decided yesterday that a proposed development by architect Bob Godel for Wayside, Grande Route de St Ouen, was not good enough for the site. They told Mr Godel and his client David Maine that they should reduce the number of units in the scheme and deal with the problem of the development overlooking neighbouring gardens. Objectors at a planning meeting yesterday included next-door neighbours Ted and Jane Nance, who said that the development would ruin their privacy. Mr Nance told the panel that if it went ahead they would have a total of 21 windows looking directly into their garden. The parish of St Ouen, represented by Deputy James Reed, were also concerned about the density of the site and potential parking problems.
