And the Environment Minister has told the JEP today that the youngsters can keep their shed providing they can make it safe. It emerged yesterday that Planning had given the tenant of the site where the 17- and 18-year-olds have built their club house one week to demolish it. The news shocked Constable Graeme Butcher and land tenant Bernie Coppell who had been working with the youngsters for over a year to make the site safe. Mr Butcher said the response from the article in yesterday’s JEP was ‘massive’ and a small group of residents used a parish meeting last night to show their support.
