The boy waved a blade at a fellow pupil after chasing him down the corridor of his States secondary school. The court heard that the boy had been involved in an argument on 13 June during which his mobile had gone missing. Centenier Glyn Davies told the court that the boy had run home and picked up the knife before returning to the school and looking for the pupil he thought had stolen his phone. When questioned by police, the boy had been shocked and said that he had never intended to stab the other pupil. ‘I thought I would do it just to scare him. I would never stab anyone,’ he said during the interview.
