The Jersey branch of the British Red Cross is inviting donations to help the hundreds of thousands of people whose lives have been blighted by the unprecedented flooding that has wreaked havoc across England, destroying homes and livelihoods. The chairman of Age Concern, Daphne Minihane, is hoping that Islanders will give strong support to the appeal. Donations can be sent locally to the the Treasurer, British Red Cross Society Committee, Normandie, Rue au Long, Grouville, Jersey JE3 9SH.
