Man lay dead in his flat for three weeks

John Grubb said that he had thought Michael Bisson (55) had gone into hospital for cancer treatment. At an inquest this week, the Deputy Viscount, who sits as a coroner, Peter de Gruchy, found that Mr Bisson had died of alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. His body was found on his bed on 10 June at 87 Le Marais where he lived with his dog. Mr Bisson had been dead for approximately three weeks. His dog had also died by the time the police entered the flat. Mr Grubb said he had noticed that he had not seen his neighbour for some time, but thought he had gone to Southampton for treatment.
