More than 100 parishioners last night voted to decrease the speed limit on all roads which are currently 40 mph. But they will still have to persuade Transport and Technical Services and the States to back the plan. The meeting was called following a roadside demonstration on St Clement’s Inner Road last month. The organiser of the meeting, Jo Barnes, said that action had to be taken to reduce speeding before a serious accident forced the authorities to act.
