In fact, drug addict Michael Vincent was writing the prescriptions for himself, whereas the notorious Dr Shipman used them to kill elderly patients. Vincent had been a cause of concern for the Health department for some time, it has been revealed. He appeared in the Royal Court on Friday and was sentenced to 240 hours of community service. He has already stopped practising and the General Medical Council is now to decide whether he will be allowed to work as a doctor again.
