Barry Faudemer stepped down as the detective in charge of the States police’s joint financial crimes unit on Friday and started as director of enforcement with the Jersey Financial Services Commission yesterday. Two other police officers from the unit, Kerry Petulla and Kevin Andrieux, have also moved to join their boss at the commission. However, Mr Faudemer said that they had applied independently for advertised posts. He said that the financial crimes unit had 490 cases currently under investigation. ‘It is a very busy unit. Some are quick to resolve, but other are very complex,’ he said.
