Delegates from as far afield as Guyana and Greenland will be attending the event on Thursday and Friday. The Teleforum is open to telecom companies from countries with a population of fewer than two million. JT business development director, Bo Pinel, said: ‘The two day forum will cover diverse topics such as competition, regulation, telecommunication networks and new technology, all issues which are highly topical in Jersey. However, the great benefit to all members of the forum is that, no matter what issue is being faced, one of the other members will probably already have gained valuable insight. That’s the purpose of the Teleforum – to share knowledge and intelligence to the mutual benefit of fellow members.’ Representatives from most of Europe’s small states are expected to attend the conference, including Andorra, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Iceland, Isle of Man, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco and San Marino. The conference will be opened by Economic Development Minister Philip Ozouf.
