A global positioning system will be fitted to every bus and transmit its location via a mobile phone network every 30 seconds. It will enable people to know exactly what time their bus will be arriving at their stop – meaning that they could delay leaving home if they know it is going to be late. All stops will be marked with a reference number that passengers can enter into a mobile to find out when their bus will arrive.
Where’s that bus? Just ask your phone
