Guernsey route is opened to Flybe

Flybe is now able to compete against both Guernsey States-owned Aurigny and Blue Islands on the route. But due to restrictions imposed by the Guernsey government, Flybe has been limited to selling only a maximum of ten per cent of seating capacity on any flight. And that is bad news for sports teams who might have been able to travel cheaply and together on board aircraft with either 78 or 112 seats. So Flybe is restricted to selling either seven or 11 seats dependent on which aircraft is operating. However, it could be very good news for Islanders as Flybe could easily offer very competitive prices on triangular routes to and from Exeter, Birmingham and Norwich to both islands.
