Scrutiny is 'committee from hell' - and ministers are 'shrouded in secrecy'

Scrutiny panel leader Deputy Alan Breckon told the review panel that ministers were shrouding their work in secrecy and that the Scrutiny chairmen’s panel was ‘the committee from hell’. He was giving evidence to the panel set up by Privileges and Procedures to review the first 12 months of the new system. Deputy Breckon, who has been in the States since 1993, criticised both sides of the House in his submission to the panel.
