Shortly before midnight, rocks and debris fell on to and blocked the road past Bel Val slip on Route de St Catherine in St Martin. Staff from the Transport and Technical Services department cleared the road this morning. A landslide was also reported on Rue du Pignon in St Clement, and a tree came down in Rue du Pont in St John and blocked the road shortly before 8 am. Mud settled on the top of Beaumont Hill after running off from a nearby field this morning. A total of 28.4 millimetres of rain fell between 4 pm yesterday and 9 am today. So far this month, there has been 85 mm of rain compared to the average rainfall during February of 74 mm, and 89 mm during the whole of February 2006.
