The JEP and Jersey Telecom initiative is raising awareness about the dangers of holding a mobile phone while driving.
Mr Daze, who runs a weekly soccer coaching club up at St Martin’s School, is encouraging parents of the youngsters he coaches to put the Hands Off stickers in their cars.
Mr Daze, who in times past was a stand-up comedian, said: ‘You see people all the time.
On their phones.
Driving.
Not paying attention.
Recently I saw about four drivers in the space of ten minutes using their mobiles along the road outside the school in St Martin.
‘Hands Off is a great idea.
We have to raise people’s awareness.
I fully support what the JEP are trying to do and I want to make sure that the message gets through to all the parents of the kids who come to the Saturday morning soccer schools.’
