The Jersey operation is the latest to join the PST group, based in Sussex, which was set up 15 years ago and has another ten franchises in the south of England.

The new office of four staff is headed by Gary Hudson, who has 25 years of experience in the travel business and who for the past six years has worked for Co-op Travelmaker.

Now he wants to move away from the mainstream holiday market.

‘People nowadays are cash-rich but time-poor,’ he said.

‘If someone only wants Jersey to London they can do that themselves online, but if they are looking for three weeks away, including a safari, they need a more specialised service.
