With partner Dave Mayman they completed the 54 km (approx 30 mile) course in 1 hr 22.44 min, 27 seconds ahead of their nearest rivals.
Fifteen Jersey pairs took part in the event, with Helen Goulding and Sarah Smith taking fourth place in the ladies; Marc Le Sueur and Jim Garrett fourth in the non-licensed category and Jim (Jemima) Davis and Mike Keighrey fourth in the mixed pairs.
The fastest time of the day was set by the pros Radek Blahut and Ondrej Sosenka, holders of the World hour record, with a time of 1 hr 10.37.
‘The race is always popular with Jersey teams,’ Harris said.
‘When it started we were invited to take part by the organisers, and for a number of years we were the only English-speaking competitors, but a few clubs from the south of England now take part too.’
