Pomme d’Or work earns top award

The event recognised the contribution to Jersey life by those in the construction industry.

It was the second event of its kind and awards were given for everything from community involvement to best use of innovation.

The work on the Pomme d’Or was carried out by contractor Camerons and took the award for Project of the Year, with project manager Tim Crane winning the award for Construction Manager of the Year and architect Andrew Morris being awarded the Consultant of the Year award.

The evening also included the launch of new charity the Brick Foundation.

Jersey Construction Council chairman Tim Darwin said that the charity was designed to help small building projects within the community.
