Three would-be Constables have their say in St Martin

News | Published:

THERE was a full house at St Martin's Public Hall on Friday night as 300 parishioners turned out to question the three candidates standing for Constable.

The hustings saw Peter Searle, Roy Travert and Silva Yates quizzed on subjects ranging from wind turbines to gun crime and from free parking for States Members to the proposed Gorey Marina.

And special thanks were offered to retiring Constable John Germain, who is standing down this year after more than 15 years of service to the parish.
