He was asked by Deputy Andrew Lewis, of St John, if he could indicate when the Island Plan was being reviewed and if he would consider creating a category of land zoned for sheltered housing for the elderly.

Senator Cohen said that sections of the Island Plan rather than the whole plan would be reviewed soon.

Sites for sheltered housing for the elderly were an important matter about which he was in regular discussions with the Housing Minister.

He was hoping to approach the parishes shortly to ask them to propose suitable sites for this purpose.
