Jamie Burrows fired Jersey ahead after he controlled Will Humphries’ ball well before finding a low corner.

Bath equalised some five minutes later and a second goal followed soon after the restart to send Jersey to their second tour defeat.

The Island side finished without a victory, having drawn their other two matches.

Jersey coach Mark De Luca, who was assisted by Tony Hoyland and Rob Cameron, said: ‘Tired legs cost us in the end, we lost our concentration and shape but overall the tour has been a fantastic learning curve for the players.

‘The boys’ behaviour has been impeccable, on and off the field, and they’ve really gelled together as a squad.

‘Results are immaterial and nine of the squad have the District Sevens to look forward to on Saturday week.’ Jersey will then host Guernsey at Grainville on Sunday 12 March before they compete in the annual Primary Schools’ Festival at the FB Fields at Easter.

Jersey squad: Jordan Le Guyader (De La Salle), Jamie Vibert (Grouville), Jamie Gray (St Peter), Ryan Thorpe (Rouge Bouillon), David Blampied (First Tower), Matthew Wellman (De La Salle), Cavaghn Miley (Plat Douet), Luke Stratford (Trinity), William Humphrey (De La Salle), Richard Concalves (Janvrin), Danny Brannen (St Saviour), Jamie Burrows (St Peter), Jack Hinton (La Moye), Ethan Du Feu (St Luke), Charlie Griggs (St George) and Steven Ellis (Bel Royal).
