The council say that the £10,000 report, which was drawn up by Devon-based architect Peter Sandover and released last week, was ‘hastily thought through’ and contradicts itself.
Mr Sandover recommends a single 197-foot-high tower as an alternative to the three tall towers proposed last year by Dandara, and suggests that a cluster of buildings be constructed, ranging from four to 15 storeys.
Urban rescue and conservation representative from the Council for the Protection of Jersey’s Heritage, André Ferrari , said today that the report had been ‘too hastily compiled and adds little new to the debate’.
