The York Street Occupation Trail comprises 16 stones, set in the pavement from the Town Hall to Charing Cross.
Sir Philip Bailhache will unveil the first stone in the trail, directly outside the Town Hall, at 1 pm.
The stone carries a description of 9 May 1945, from Lord Coutanche, the Bailiff during the Occupation.
The remaining 15 stones are inscribed with the thoughts of Occupation survivors, slave workers and present day Islanders.
The project has been a partnership between the Jersey Heritage Trust, Planning and Environment, the Jersey Evening Post and the Parish of St Helier, and has taken six months to complete.
The committee selected source material from the time, as well as using the thoughts of Islanders Jean Bonhomme and Vanessa Daligault.
They both responded to an invitation to JEP readers to take part in the project by submitting their feelings, personal experience or present-day reflections relevant to the Occupation and Liberation.
