The day St Tropez came to Plémont

According to Sunday’s edition of the News of the World, Big Brother finalist Makosi Musambasi was pictured topless on a beach in the ‘South of France’, when in fact she was enjoying the sunshine at Plémont Bay.

The pictures were sold to the country’s biggest selling newspaper by picture agency Big Pictures, who this morning were blamed for making the error.

A spokesman for the News of the World said: ‘We have spoken to Big who admitted that their photographer had put the South of France in the caption and not Jersey.

‘It was an honest mistake and there is nothing to suggest that Jersey isn’t sexy enough.’
