St Lawrence Deputy to stand down

News | Published:

ST LAWRENCE Deputy Maurice Dubras will not be seeking re-election this November.

As a result, it is likely that two new faces will be representing the parish in the States next year.

Deputy Gerald Voisin is widely expected to stand for Senator in October, and, if he is successful, it would mean that both parish seats became open.

The term of office of the Constable, Geoffrey Fisher, ends in January, but he is likely to stand again, and there would only be yet another new face should he lose an election.
