The shellfish were left in a neat pile without a trace of evidence as to how they got there.
‘I couldn’t believe what I saw.
It was Easter Sunday morning and when I went outside they were all stacked neatly on the balcony,’ said Mr Weldrick, who lives in Axminster House, Devonshire Place.
‘Nobody could have put them up there, because my balcony is enclosed and on the roof, so there would be no way that someone could have thrown them up.
‘It could have been seagulls, but there are so many of them and they were all in a pile with a bit of sand.
Obviously I am going to throw them away, but it was just a mystery how they got up there.
I was wondering if anyone could explain.’
