Around 80 residents met at the Oaklands Lodge last night to discuss opposition to the proposed coach station at Haut du Mont Farm.
They were joined by Senator Paul Le Claire and Deputies Geoff Southern and Terry Le Main to discuss the impact of the proposals and what could be done about them.
Campaigner Gary Burwood said there had been vigorous support of the action taken so far and that if a proposed Planning site visit at the farm off Trinity Hill was held tomorrow, they would attend with a dozen or so residents.
Deputy Southern is also taking the matter to the States.
Today he lodged a petition signed by 250 residents of the area surrounding applicant Stewart Mourant’s farm.
He is seeking Members’ support to request the Environment and Public Services Committee to refuse the application.
