Convent D 45, JCG Old Girls 46: In a game that saw the play go goal for goal there was no let up for the trainee umpires, cousins, Rena Nelson and Nikki King, who were being tested by Linda Andrews and Ann Halliwell.
As one side edged ahead their opponents intercepted to bring the game back on an even footing.
JCG’s Claire Le Maistre had a demanding game as centre but held her team together with some slick passing.
This was a fast-flowing, exciting game of netball controlled with a high level of skilful umpiring.
A draw may have seemed a fairer result in which was undoubtedly a very even game, however it was not to be and the Old Girls were fortunate to have scored the winning goal just ahead of the final whistle.
Credit must go to the youngsters whose demeanour and good conduct was maintained throughout.

Sylvans battled all the way, GD Jackie Webb picking up loose balls and feeding attack Liz Wall who continually worked the circle.
But eventually it was the stamina of the younger St Lawrence players and their accurate shooting that carried them to victory.

Division I: Convent A 63, Accies A 19: Convent’s youngsters made a blistering start and scored 18 goals without reply in the first quarter.
