Mail order move to St Lawrence

The FTSE-listed company, which is based at Retreat Farm in St Lawrence, is closing its call centre in the Island and filling the space with its Benham brand, which produces first-day covers, limited-edition stamps and sporting and entertainment collectables.

‘We have a massive call centre in the UK which is currently under-capitalised,’ said the group’s chief executive, Mark Dugdale.

‘The Jersey call centre, although doing a fantastic job, was always a bit of an anomaly and was only busy three times a year – around Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas – so it makes sense to consolidate under one roof.
