The La Moye GC member shared the title with Martin Young, of Brockenhurst Manor, after both had finished on eight under par at the top of the 36-hole leader board.Ramskill shot a second-round 70 for a tournament aggregate of 134 – 8 under par, to take the lead until Young, who was four shots behind after the first 18 holes, stormed back to tie with an eagle and four birdies in his second-round 66.’Golf is not a top priority for me, but it was nice to get back into the swing,’ said Ramskill.
‘I played well from tee to green over the first 18 holes.
The final round was okay, but I suffered a bit from fatigue.’Also in the competition was ex-professional Gavin O’Neill, who finished with a total of 139 shots.
