Katie Le Quesne (49), a former JEP and Channel Television journalist now working as a freelance consultant, has been appointed on a one-year contract and starts on Monday.The idea behind her new post is to improve relations between the P & R Committee and the public.However, its creation has already been criticised by Senator Stuart Syvret as being an exercise in spin doctoring.
This was denied by P & R president Senator Frank Walker and by Mrs Le Quesne herself.
