The urgent warning was issued this morning by deputy medical officer of health Dr Duncan Nicholson.It follows the emergency evacuation of a woman in her late 40s who fell seriously ill after eating what is believed to have been a Death Cap mushroom.The woman, whose name has not been released, picked the mushroom in Queen’s Valley at the weekend.
She has now been airlifted to a specialist kidney unit at King’s College Hospital, in London where she was this morning off the critical list and in a stable condition.
