The two-day conference at the Hotel de France is being jointly co-ordinated by the British-Irish Council and the IDeA (Improvement and Development Agency) e-champions network.Discussion will centre on best practice in e-government, with delegates from England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Guernsey, Isle of Man, America and Jersey taking part.E-government is seen as being central to the modernisation of councils, administrations and governments, and the theme of the meeting is ‘Raising the Profile Local e-Government’.Speakers will discuss and illustrate how this can be achieved in key areas, ranging from the community, partnerships, the media, on the Internet and in social groups.
