Based on the production hypercar, the Valkyrie AMR Pro is a track-only monster that boasts more power and more downforce to create an even higher-performance machine.

The base car will be no slouch when it comes to market, boasting a claimed output of nearly 1,000 bhp from its 6.5-litre, naturally aspirated V12 hybrid set-up – but the track version will take it to another level with a modified version of the same drivetrain developing ‘in excess of’ 1,100 bhp.

To help put that to the track, revised aerodynamics have been introduced to create over 1,000 kg of downforce. These include wider overall bodywork, larger front and rear wing elements, and tweaks to the active aerodynamic systems for track-focused driving.

Perhaps even more impressively, the weight of the downforce that’s created is even more than the car itself – which comes in at 1,000 kg on the scales. To help achieve this number, lighter components have been added to the car such as a polycarbonate windscreen and side windows, carbon-fibre suspension wishbones, moulded race seats and a lighter exhaust system. A number of items have also been removed from the road car, such as the heater/demister blower and infotainment screens.

Just 25 examples of the Valkyrie AMR Pro will be produced – but don’t rush out to your nearest dealer in the hopes of getting one, as all have already been sold.

Customer-ready track cars based on hypercars are no new thing. Ferrari started the trend in 2005 with the Enzo-based FXX, which it followed up with the LaFerrari-derived FXX K in 2015, while McLaren also offers the P1 GTR.
