The British-made, hand-built grand tourer was registered in 1997 after the musician ordered the car directly from the Aston Martin factory in Newport Pagnell.
While Sir Elton’s name would make any Vantage sought-after, this particular car is also a limited-run V550 model – with an estimated 240 made, making it highly collectible in its own right. The black Aston Martin stands out thanks to its deep front spoiler, low stance and flared wheel arches.
Inside the car, there’s a wood and leather combination interior, with the vehicle described as having ‘a new car smell’. It also comes with original service books and invoices for work carried out.
Powering the Vantage is a 5.3-litre V8 supercharged engine developing 330 bhp and 494 Nm of torque, resulting in a sub-five second 0-60 mph and a 186 mpg top speed.
It’ll go on sale at Silverstone Auctions’ Race Retro Classic Car sale, which takes place from 24 to 25 February, with an estimated final price of £190,000 to £240,000.
