Subaru has unveiled its latest Impreza ahead of this year’s Frankfurt International Motor Show.
The redesigned Impreza will make its European arrival on September 12 at the Frankfurt show.
Subaru says the new Impreza has been built “to be safe and secure with a fun driving experience”. Specifications have not been released, but the Japanese manufacturer has said it will come with its Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and brand-defining boxer engine.

The new Impreza will be the second car based on the Subaru Global Platform, following the outgoing model. It also has a 5mm lower centre of gravity compared to the previous model, which Subaru says improves handling stability, hazard avoidance as well as steering response.
New safety features have also been added to the latest car, including Subaru’s advanced driver assist technology, EyeSight. Subaru says it “aims to offer world-class collision safety for total peace of mind and an engaging driver experience”.
The new Impreza has already received praise across the globe, with it being named Japanese Car of the Year in December 2016.
The new car is the latest in a legacy that stretches back to 1992, with 2.5 million Imprezas sold globally since then.
