Final Hairy Bikers book collects Si King and Dave Myers’ ‘most loved’ recipes

A final Hairy Bikers cookbook will bring together the “most loved” recipes of TV chefs Si King and the late Dave Myers.

The Best Of The Hairy Bikers will feature a collection of the creations the pair were “most fond of” with new introductions written by King, 58, after Myers died aged 66, in February last year, following a cancer diagnosis.

In an Instagram post announcing the book’s release, King said: “It’s just a little bit really, to say that now The Hairy Bikers publishing has come to an end, we just wanted to let you know what was next.

“And we wanted to put together a compendium, really, of our favourite recipes through the years, as a final offering to you all.

“Over the years, it’s been clear that there’s been certain recipes that you guys have absolutely loved and returned to again and again, you know, the ones that are the grubbiest in your cookbooks, they’ve got finger marks and stains, and all that sort of stuff, and the ones that you talk to us about often.

“So we just thought it’d be a nice thing to do, and they’re also the recipes that Dave and I have the fondest memories of making and developing, and the ones that stand out over the 30 cookbooks we’ve done together, and that really exemplify our love for food.

“The vision of the book was to put together a definitive list of our favourite recipes that incorporates the creations that we made from our journey together.

“Each chapter contains our top 10 most loved and most cooked, and most talked about recipes.

“The book also contains previously published recipes, of course, collected together for the first time, but it does have new introductions, because I wrote them.

“So, I hope you love it, as much as I did putting it together, and the team, we had some really lovely moments, and some very fond memories. So thank you, and I hope you enjoy the new book.”

King has paid tribute to Myers on a number of occasions following his death, including with Dave Day, a 30-mile motorcycle ride to celebrate his life, which was recorded for the documentary The Hairy Bikers: You’ll Never Ride Alone, which aired on BBC Two during the festive period last year.

The new book, which will feature more than 120 recipes, will be released on March 13 2025.
