A traitor has narrowly escaped being banished from The Traitors’ castle as suspicions swirled amongst the other contestants.
Fingers were pointed at traitor Linda and faithful Dan during Friday’s roundtable, with Dan ultimately receiving the most votes from his fellow players, sending him packing.
During the roundtable, questions were raised about why traitor Linda had cried following faithful Livi’s departure from the competition after she was ‘murdered’ by the traitors overnight.
Other players pointed out that Linda does not put her opinion across, while faithful Frankie raised suspicions further by stating that either Linda or Dan were lying to her about ‘marking’ her in the mission earlier in the day.
The mission – titled The Ceremony of Truth – saw all contestants given a shield that would protect them from the next ‘murder’, but the players could sabotage each other by working in pairs to mark who they did not want to be safe.
If the marked person guessed who they believed had chosen to sabotage them, they kept their shield, but if they were incorrect they would lose it.
At the end of the game, Dan, Charlotte and Linda each retained their shields while the contestants also added £5,000 to the prize pot, bringing the total to £34,500.
During the roundtable, bank risk manager Dan admitted he had lied to Frankie about not marking her when he did in fact select her with fellow faithful Alexander, which redirected the other contestants’ attention towards him.
“This has been an absolute pleasure, and I’ve had a fantastic time. I am a faithful.”
The traitors faced one more twist before the day was brought to a close as their typically nightly murder was replaced with a secret mission to select four players in plain sight to play a deadly game.
Traitors Linda and Minah selected faithfuls Alexander, Anna, Fozia and Leon to play a game called Deathmatch, which would end with one of them being ‘murdered’.
Anna survived the first round while Alexander won the second, leaving Fozia and Leon to battle it out, but the episode ended on a cliffhanger before revealing who had lost the game and been sent home.
