Neil Morrissey’s pub up for national award

A pub part-owned by Neil Morrissey has reached the finals of the Great British Pub Awards.

The Men Behaving Badly star is one of a consortium who run The Plume Of Feathers in Barlaston, Staffordshire, and their boozer has been shortlisted in the best partnership pub category for 2017.

Drinkers at the pub can enjoy a pint of the actor’s very own ale, Morrissey Blonde, on tap behind the bar and the sign on the front of the building reads The Plume Of Feathers with Neil Morrissey.

The Plume Of Feathers is one of only six pubs in the UK to be selected as finalists in the category, but some who had visited it complained in Facebook comments that the venue was not their favourite.

One person wrote: “Stayed in that area in June. Was able to walk to the pub ..not impressed. There’s better in the area.”
