ONE of the huge floodlights placed around the aerodrome for night flying at Jersey Airport in March 1937.
The light given off is approximately one and a quarter million candlepower.
Note the two small obstruction lights surmounting the structure. These are fitted to all parts of the aerodrome and also on the spire of St Peter’s Church.
