2. Finding our own natural rhythms

Discover how connecting with nature can have a positive impact on your overall wellbeing. Lee will lead you in a ‘mindful’ venture in St Ouen’s Bay, the heart of the Jersey National Park.
In this immersive experience, you’ll develop a greater appreciation of the beauty and complexity of the natural world, and learn valuable techniques for mindfulness and stress reduction.
Duration: Approximately 2 hours. Difficulty: Easy to Medium.
Meet at the Frances Le Suer Centre, Five Mile Road, St Ouen. Bus 22. Please wear sensible footwear, such as trainers, as you’ll be walking on uneven paths. And also consider sustainable means of travel, such as cycling or getting the bus. Bring snacks. Regrettably no dogs allowed.
3. From field to fork
With Vicky Boarder, Binney and Boarder – Monday 8 May, 14:00 to 16:30
Embark on a captivating nature walk that leads you to the traditional Anneville Farm, situated on the border of the park. And experience the epitome of the field-to-fork concept at this 18th century farmstead.
Meet Chris Binney and Vicky Boarder, the spirited duo running the bustling on-site kitchen, Binney and Boarder, and, while building up an appetite, discover the journey that our food takes before it reaches our tables. Their catering service presents seasonal organic cuisine, taking inspiration from nature. As they aptly put it, ‘nature is life’.

4. Freedom and fortifications

This is the story of one of Jersey’s greatest days – 9 May 1945. After nearly five long years of Occupation under Nazi Germany command, Jersey was set free on this day.
This guided walk with Roger takes you on a circular route around the beautiful bay of St Ouen which is scattered with German fortifications. Hear the story of Liberation Day, and how it is still remembered to this day and find out about these structures, which dramatically change the features of the bay.

5. Wake up with nature

As the sun rises over St Catherine’s Bay, join your knowledgable guides, Neil and Alli Singleton, on a walk along the historic breakwater and through the rural country lanes of St Martin.
Listen to the early-morning bird song and learn about the fascinating wildflowers, as you immerse yourself in the tranquility of the early morning. This is an unforgettable guided walk that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

6. The wilderness of St Ouen

Immerse yourself in the untamed beauty of St Ouen, take in fantastic scenery, encounter local wildlife and learn about the vast variety of wild edible and medicinal plants on offer in this truly magnificent part of the Island.

Meet at the car park directly opposite Kempt Tower, St Ouen’s Bay, Five Mile Road. Bus 22. Please wear sensible footwear. You’ll be walking over uneven paths. This is a family-friendly event, suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
7. La Pulente and The Ormering Tide
With Jean Treleven, Aspiring Jersey Island Geopark – Friday 12 May, 14:00 to 16:00
Venture on a journey through time on this geowalk around La Pulente where Jean skillfully illuminates the geological processes that have formed these rocks, bays and headlands, highlighting actions which, along with climate changes, have created a spectacular landscape.
From the earliest Neolithic dolmen builders to medieval seafarers, defenders of the Island and low-water fishermen, you’ll discover how lives have been shaped by this landscape and how it, in turn, has inspired folklore and literature.

Meet at the main public car park at La Pulente, by the Millennium Stone. Bus 22. This route follows rough paths and steep steps, so please wear suitable footwear.
8. Sunset at Les Landes
