Diva Opera are returning to Jersey in July for their 36th season of opera at Domaine des Vaux and their 28th season as Britain’s leading chamber opera company. They will perform brand new productions of La Traviata by Verdi and The Barber of Seville by Rossini and will give their usual sparkling Opera Gala on the last night. Diva’s inimitable mix of superb singing and acting, beautiful costumes and sets and outstanding performances from Bryan Evans on the piano bring the operas to life in a highly enjoyable and memorable way. Performances in the round, give everyone the thrill of opera up close. Audiences old and new cannot fail to be enchanted and moved by this approach to opera.
The Opera Festival continues to support the essential work of Jersey Zoo, both here and abroad. Last year it raised £25,000 to help with the purchase of a specially equipped van for the transport of animals and birds. This time funds raised will help with the vital conservation work of DWCT in Madagascar. St. John Ambulance is the second charity, which will assist with the incredible support they give across the Island.
