A WALK held in memory of a “much-loved” Islander has raised over £4,600 for two charities that supported her throughout her life.

Kianne “Ki” Moy passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday 21 May, following an adrenal crisis.

The Blue for Ki Walk took place on Saturday 11 July, on what would have been Kianne’s 25th birthday.

The event, which saw over 150 participants dressed in blue take on a six-mile walk, raised a total of £4,657 for Centrepoint and the Jersey Brain Tumour Charity.

Centrepoint’s Graeme Fitchett said: “The atmosphere throughout the day was incredibly special. It truly felt like a celebration of Ki’s life.

“Seeing so many people dressed in blue, walking together on what would have been her birthday is something none of us will ever forget.

“There was an overwhelming sense of love, kindness and community.”

He added: “We hope the Blue for Ki Walk will leave a lasting memory – not only through the funds raised, but by inspiring acts of kindness, bringing people together and reminding us all of the importance of supporting one another.”
