By Saifdinne Moumou, the superintendent pharmacist at Carpathia Pharmacy, explains why pharmacy care is about much more than just getting your prescription
GOOD pharmacy care is about more than dispensing a prescription. It is about being accessible to the community, making patients feel comfortable asking for help and offering advice they can understand and follow.
This has been at the heart of Carpathia Pharmacy since we opened in early 2026.
Located at Charing Cross in the heart of St Helier, we are open seven days a week, with extended hours to make our services easier to access. Whether you are collecting a prescription, seeking advice, receiving a seasonal vaccination or exploring our wellbeing products, our team is here to help.
Supporting workplace wellbeing with flu vaccinations
As we move into flu season, we offer on-site seasonal flu vaccinations for businesses across Jersey. Bringing the service into the workplace makes it easier for employees to get vaccinated without arranging a separate visit to a pharmacy. We arrange clinics around your team’s schedule to help minimise disruption to the working day.
Vaccinations are administered by a qualified pharmacist, with suitability checks and consent included as part of the service. Each clinic can be tailored to staff numbers and workplace needs.
If your business is interested, our team can discuss suitable dates, the number of employees taking part and the practical arrangements.
A pharmacy with wellbeing in mind
Our approach extends beyond medicines. At Carpathia Pharmacy, you will find a carefully selected range of skincare, haircare, vitamins, supplements and natural wellbeing products. Our brands include Grown Alchemist, Terranova Supplements, The Organic Pharmacy, Form Protein, Ancient + Brave, Omega 3 of Norway, Korres and Alteya Organics.
We continue to expand our range, giving customers something new and exciting to discover. Our aim is to bring professional healthcare services and quality wellbeing products together in one welcoming place.

A more personal approach to pharmacy
We want you to leave Carpathia Pharmacy feeling listened to and supported, as well as finding what you came in for. Our team cares about the community we serve and values the conversations that are part of everyday pharmacy life. Everyone who walks through our doors has different needs and we believe a personal approach matters.
Open seven days a week
Being open seven days a week helps make our services accessible, while a friendly, knowledgeable team makes it easier to ask for help. Whether you are collecting a prescription, looking for advice, booking a flu vaccination, managing several medicines or browsing our wellbeing range, you are always welcome to pop in and speak to us.

Getting to know your health
By Dr Kirstie Ross, medical director at Carpathia Wellness Hub

WE all know we should look after our health, but finding the time to do it isn’t always easy. Work, family and everything else life throws at us can mean that our own health ends up somewhere near the bottom of the list.
That is one of the reasons we created Carpathia Wellness Hub. We want to make it easier for people to take some time to understand their health, with the reassurance of having experienced doctors involved throughout the process. Based in the heart of St Helier, we
offer a range of doctor-led health and wellness checks, including our Wellwoman and Wellman blood tests.
These look at a range of health markers, with the exact tests depending on the package selected. For us, it isn’t just about taking a blood sample and handing someone a list of numbers. It is about helping people understand the information they receive and giving them the opportunity to discuss it with a medical professional.
Why have a health check?
There can be real value in having a clearer picture of certain aspects of your health. Blood testing can provide information about a range of health markers, including areas relating to general health and nutrition, depending on the package chosen.
Of course, a blood test is only one part of the picture. Results need to be considered alongside the individual, their circumstances and, where relevant, their medical history.
That is why our service is doctor-led. Our friendly team is here to answer questions and make the process as straightforward as possible.
Once the testing is complete, the type of report you receive depends on the package you’ve chosen. This may include a written report alongside your numeric results, while some packages provide numeric results only. Depending on the package and individual circumstances, follow-up support may also be included.
Bringing health checks to your workplace

We also provide on-site health checks for businesses across Jersey. Taking the service into the workplace can make it much easier for employees to take part, particularly for people who might otherwise struggle to find time for an appointment. We arrange the day around your organisation, helping to keep disruption to a minimum while giving employees a
private and professional experience.
Our on-site team includes medical professionals, with doctors involved in the service, supported by nursing and administrative staff. We bring the equipment needed to carry out the health checks safely and efficiently.
Depending on the package selected, an appointment can include a consultation with a medical professional, blood sample collection and measurements such as height, weight, pulse and blood pressure.
For businesses looking for a more tailored option, our Exclusive Corporate Package is designed specifically around workplace health and wellbeing. We can discuss the requirements of your organisation and the options available, depending on the size of your team and the type of health checks you would like to offer.
We can also provide an optional aggregated corporate health overview, giving an organisation a broader picture of selected health and wellness measures across participating employees. This is provided as aggregated information rather than individual employee results.
Making workplace wellbeing a little easier
We have experience delivering health checks in the workplace, and one of the
things we hear most often is how convenient it is to have everything brought
to the office.
Employees don’t have to travel somewhere else for their appointment and employers can offer something practical as part of their wider wellbeing programme.
Every workplace is different, so we are happy to talk through what would work best. There are a number of packages available, and we can help businesses understand the options before they decide what is right for their team.
Our services are recognised by insurers including AXA and Bupa, among others, subject to individual policy terms and eligibility.
A friendly, doctor-led approach
For me, the most important part of what we do is the person sitting in front of us. Health information can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when you’re looking at a page full of numbers.
Having a doctor involved means there is someone there to put those results into context and answer questions.
Whether you’re booking a Wellwoman or Wellman test for yourself, looking at one of our wider wellness packages or considering an on-site health programme for your employees, our team is here to make the process as simple and comfortable as possible.
We’re proud to offer a personal, doctor-led service in the heart of St Helier, and we’d be very happy to welcome you.
