JERSEY has once again secured its position as the Best International Finance Centre in the Middle East and North Africa region at the annual WealthBriefing MENA Awards for Excellence 2023, the seventh consecutive year that the Island has won this title.

Joe Moynihan, Jersey Finance’s chief executive, expressed his gratitude for the award, stating: “It’s an honour to receive recognition for the formidable work undertaken in Jersey’s IFC to service the MENA region, and for a seventh consecutive year.

“Financial services firms in Jersey take pride in their substantial ties and relationships with the region, underpinned by our jurisdiction’s stability, high regulatory standards and specialist workforce”.

He added: “This time of year is always important for Jersey Finance in the MENA region, especially in Dubai, where we host our annual Dubai conference. Incidentally, this year marks five years since Jersey Finance opened its Middle East Regional Hub in the DIFC, enabling us to create stronger connectivity with the region and a financial services ecosystem we believe will continue to grow and strengthen.”

The WealthBriefing MENA Awards, now in their tenth year, serve as a platform to showcase top-class performance, innovation and achievement within the financial services sector and MENA market.

Faizal Bhana, Jersey Finance’s director for the Middle East, Africa and India, accepted the award at the ceremony in Dubai.
