Young people deserve news that speaks to them. JEP Junior was created to help children and teenagers understand what’s happening in Jersey and beyond through articles written especially for them.
Rather than talking down to young readers, we aim to explain the news clearly, answer their questions and encourage curiosity about the world around them.
Reading for pleasure is becoming less common, and we know that building a lifelong reading habit starts early. That’s why we’re proud to support Every Child Our Future’s Big Jersey Read campaign with a newspaper that is engaging, accessible and full of local stories that matter to young Islanders.
We hope JEP Junior helps children become confident readers, critical thinkers and informed Islanders. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to sharing more about the lives, interests and achievements of Jersey’s young people in the editions to come!
