Last week, over the course of three days, officers searched a total of 22 people and also confiscated £4,000 in cash – thought to be the proceeds of drug trafficking.
It is suspected that the drugs seized are Amphetamine, Cocaine, Ecstasy and Cannabis but analysis has not yet taken place.
Five men and two women – aged between 16 and 31 – were all arrested but have since been released on bail while investigations continue.
The action forms part of Operation Shark which was launched in February.
Acting Chief Inspector Mark Hafey said: ‘Our aim is always to uphold the law and as long as illegal drugs are out there we will continue to target those involved in drug related criminality.
‘Recreational drug taking very often is a slippery slope to harder more harmful drugs and we want to stop illegal drugs at the source. This is ultimately about keeping our communities and islanders safe.’
