Flight disruption at Jersey Airport on Christmas Eve due to fog

FOG at Jersey Airport caused travel disruption on Christmas Eve.

Several flights in and out of Jersey were severely delayed as Islanders looked to travel ahead of Christmas.

Two easyJet flights, from London Gatwick and Manchester, were diverted on Tuesday morning and were due in several hours later.

Three British Airways flights due in from Gatwick were cancelled as well as a Blue Islands flight from Exeter.

Six flights were able to get airborne by 5pm on Tuesday.

Ports of Jersey confirmed that the Airport would remain open later than usual on Tuesday evening.

The Airport usually closes at 9pm. but Ports said that there is no definitive time for closure tonight.
