Andium Homes, which administers Jersey’s social housing on behalf of the States, has bought the site in the north of St Helier on the corner of Trinity Hill and Springfield Road. The purchase was confirmed on Friday.
And although no plans have yet been revealed, Andium has said that it intends to draw up proposals to develop the site quickly.
The company said that the land was an ‘ideal location’ for social housing and is close to other developments already within Andium’s portfolio.
As part of its business plan, Andium has committed to building 1,000 more affordable homes in the Island by 2020.
