While there was disappointment for the men at the European Team Championships, there was joy for Jersey’s women as they secured at least a bronze medal after 3-0 round-robin group wins against Croatia and Latvia yesterday.
Silver or gold is not out of their reach today but it would mean defeating Malta 3-0 coupled with Luxembourg beating Russia.
Jersey’s men play-off for the bronze medal against Croatia at 12.30 pm today, while the Island women face Malta in their final group game at the same time.
