The team at Orchid Care Services reflects on the company’s first decade and gives a glimpse into some of its future plans
THIS year marks a major milestone for Orchid Care Services, as we proudly celebrate our tenth anniversary as a trusted domiciliary care provider. Our clients tell us our carers are “first class” and they “look forward to their company”.
We have stood by families, delivered compassionate care and helped countless individuals maintain their independence with our constant mission to provide care as individual as our clients are. As one client said: “I feel in the lead of setting my care; they are always respectful and obliging.”

Launching Orchid CareEquip
We’re thrilled to share that Orchid has expanded with the launch of Orchid CareEquip, our care equipment supply and servicing division, which is all about enhancing the enjoyment of life by providing essential products to support independence and wellbeing.
Our extensive range of specialist equipment helps people stay safe and comfortable in their homes. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with one client saying: “We are so grateful; their next-day delivery of the hoist and bed we needed meant we could get mum home from hospital so much sooner.”
Driven by the same principles that have guided us from the beginning – dignity, respect and a commitment to holistic, person-centred care – we’re proud to be making it easier for people in Jersey to access and maintain high-quality care equipment.
Introducing Orchid Connect
We’re also charting new territory for care in Jersey with our Orchid Connect service. Orchid Connect is a groundbreaking technology solution which we are providing for all families and care providers in Jersey.
Orchid Connect introduces to Jersey “hybrid care” – a blend of in-person and remote monitoring – to support vulnerable people in living safe, independent lives. We’re harnessing technology that has already proven its impact in the UK, reducing admissions to hospital and enabling people to return home sooner after a stay in medical care.
By combining personal visits by family members or care providers with advanced monitoring technology, Orchid Connect is about preventative care, spotting issues before they become emergencies and giving peace of mind to both clients and families.
In a world where technology has changed so much of our daily lives, Orchid Connect is helping us to rethink how we deliver care, creating a partnership between the individual, the caregiver and technology that makes it possible to live well, with fewer worries. We’re thrilled to be bringing this innovative service to Jersey, adding another layer to the support we can offer.

Their commitment to providing compassionate care has touched the lives of so many individuals and families and it’s because of them that we have reached this incredible milestone.
We acknowledge the clients and families who have trusted us with their care needs. Your trust has been our greatest motivator and your stories of strength have continuously shaped our services. From those early years when we helped just a handful of clients to today, as we serve a large community across Jersey, we remain humbled by the relationships we have built and the difference we have made together.
